It all started in June 2023 when I put a few vintage Steiff animals for sale on Ebay from an estate sale.

A friend of mine purchased a small Steiff camel. She had one when she was young but had sold it and wanted a replacement. The one I was selling had a damaged velvet face, so I repaired it for her using techniques I’d learned in high school making custom stuffed animals for friends and as a graduate student in theatrical costume and scenic design. I have 25 years experience doing beaded accessories including jewelry and purses and 20 years as a theatrical designer.

Since then, I‘ve averaged three to four repairs/renovations on both modern plush toys or antique mohair bears and at least one doll/bear costume per month.
